The first step to volunteering is to attend an orientation session. Orientation is required for all new volunteers.

New Volunteer Orientation

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Habitat for Humanity Central Arizona. We offer many opportunities to get involved including:

Please complete an online sign-up form at least 48 hours in advance of the orientation you would like to attend. Space is limited. The New Volunteer Orientation lasts about an hour.

Orientations are held at Habitat for Humanity Central Arizona’s offices in Phoenix and Peoria and at our Mesa ReStore.

Community Service

Habitat for Humanity Central Arizona accepts school-related community service and select court-ordered community restitution.

School-Related
If you are a student needing hours for school or a specific class, please attend a new volunteer orientation and contact Volunteer Services at 602.262.8655 with your requirements.

Court-Ordered Community Restitution
Habitat allows select court-ordered community restitution requirements. However, we cannot accept volunteers who have committed violent crimes, crimes against minors, sexual offenses, drug offenses, theft or robbery. We do not allow minors to complete community service with us. In order to be approved to perform court-ordered restitution, you need to set up an appointment with Volunteer Services at 602.262.8655.
