Energy Star Homes
All HFHCAZ homes are built to Energy Star standards. Energy Star homes are typically 20-30% more energy efficient than homes built to standard residential building code.
Features of an Energy Star home include:

LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) for Homes
HFHCAZ built the first LEED Platinum Certified Habitat home in the United States in the fall of 2008, and has continued to build 91 LEED Certified/LEED Certification-Seeking Homes. The practice of building sustainable homes goes hand-in-hand in affordable housing as increased efficiency of the home reduces costs to the homeowner throughout the life of the home.
